Holistically Heal - Deeply Transform

Healing Feathers Integrated
KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)
To 'integrate' means to unify or to bring parts together as a whole. Having a 'holistic' approach means to heal from a whole perspective; body, mind & spirit all working together as a unit, rather than independent parts.
We believe that healing holistically is possible but you must understand and become aware of each individual part to begin working with them as a whole. Healing Feathers Integrated provides a safe, unique place for a person to look at these individual parts and begin to create a functional unit as a whole again. Through non-traditional healing approaches we look at everything affecting the body, mind & spirit to find clarity and relief.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is a powerful medicine that can quickly ease depression and other serious mental health challenges. While it was first used as an anesthetic in the 1970s, today it's given in much lower doses to help break through heavy emotions and support healthier brain function.
As a psychedelic medicine, ketamine works by boosting a brain chemical called glutamate. This helps repair damaged brain cells and encourages the brain to form new, healthier connections.
When depression or anxiety shuts down parts of the brain, ketamine can help "wake them up," reducing negative thought patterns and offering real relief. Many people find that just a few treatments create a new baseline of well-being, with occasional follow-up sessions (called boosters) helping to maintain those benefits over time.
How much is it?
Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) is a meaningful investment in your healing. Our packages are thoughtfully priced to be as accessible as possible, and they reflect the full experience—not just a single session. This work takes time, care, and specialized training, and we’re honored to offer it with the skill and support it deserves.
While insurance doesn’t cover KAP yet, we do offer payment plans to help make things easier.
What does a KAP session include?
Each Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) package includes three important parts: a preparation session, a medicine session, and an integration session (scheduled 24–48 hours after your journey).
Preparation Session
This is where your journey begins. You’ll meet with your guide to explore your intentions, learn what to expect, and talk through any questions you may have. Setting clear intentions helps create a deeper and more meaningful experience. These sessions are 45–60 minutes long and can be done in person or over Zoom.
Medicine Session
During your KAP session, you’ll be supported by a trained guide while taking the medicine in the form of a dissolvable lozenge or tablet under your tongue (not swallowed). Within minutes, you’ll begin to feel relaxed as the medicine gently shifts your awareness.
In this altered state, many people find their mental defenses soften, making it easier to explore emotions, memories, or insights in a safe and supported way. As the effects wear off, you’ll have time to talk with your guide and reflect on the experience. These sessions last about 2.5 to 3 hours and are done in person.
Sometimes, the medicine can bring up challenging emotions or memories—this is a natural part of the healing process. With your guide’s support, even difficult moments can lead to powerful breakthroughs.
Integration Session
Within a day or two after your medicine session, you’ll meet again with your guide to reflect and integrate what came up. These sessions help you make sense of your experience and begin applying what you’ve learned to your daily life. This step is where true, lasting change begins. Integration sessions are also 45–60 minutes and can be held in person or via Zoom.
Together, these three steps create a powerful and supportive path toward healing.
I'm in! What's the next step?
We’d be honored to support you on your ketamine healing journey and are truly excited for what’s ahead. To get started, please reach out to us directly to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This initial conversation helps us ensure that Ketamine Assisted Therapy is a safe and supportive option for you.
During the consult, we’ll take a few minutes to get to know you, understand your interest in the medicine, and offer guidance tailored to your needs. We’ll also walk you through what to expect in each session and how we’ll support you throughout the process. You're welcome to ask any questions you may have—we’re here to help.
Please note: A prescription is required in order to begin ketamine treatment. If you don’t yet have one, we’re happy to provide a referral to a trusted, ketamine-informed provider during your consult.
What is Ketamine Assisted Therapy?
Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) is a powerful and gentle approach to healing mental health challenges like PTSD, chronic depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and low self-esteem. Instead of only talking through things, KAP uses the medicine to guide you toward what truly needs healing—sometimes revealing deeper layers you may not have even been aware of. You're never alone in this process—a trained guide is with you the whole time, offering support and ensuring you feel safe and cared for.
Unlike traditional therapy, which can take a long time to show progress, KAP often brings insight and relief more quickly. Each session is personalized to your needs and intentions, helping you access healing in a way that feels more natural and transformative. Many people begin to feel shifts after just one session.
What are the side effects?
Your healing journey with Ketamine Assisted Therapy can bring deep transformation, and at times it may also feel a little intense. It’s important to be aware of some possible side effects. Common ones like feeling sleepy, a bit dizzy, or slightly nauseous usually pass quickly.
Because ketamine has psychedelic qualities, you might temporarily notice things like blurry vision, unusual visual effects, slurred speech, or a sense of feeling a little “off” or disconnected. Some people also experience a dry mouth, headache, or trouble focusing. Serious reactions are very rare, but we want you to feel fully informed and supported.
Most people feel calm, relaxed, and experience some relief from pain during their session. A trained guide will be with you the entire time to make sure you’re safe and cared for. After your session, please have someone available to drive you home, as you’ll need time to fully rest and integrate.
How many sessions will it take?
Everyone’s journey with Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) is different, so the number and timing of sessions can vary. It often depends on the depth of what you’re working through and how you respond to the medicine. Staying consistexnt—especially during the first 1 to 3 sessions—is important, as this is when your connection with the medicine begins to build.
Most people start to experience deeper insights and emotional shifts between sessions 3 and 6. From there, you can adjust the pace of your sessions—whether every two weeks, once a month, or even quarterly—depending on what feels right for you.
While healing is never one-size-fits-all, many people notice positive changes after just one session. In general, we recommend completing at least 4 to 6 sessions before taking a break or exploring deeper, more sensitive intentions.

How is it administered?
Ketamine can be administered in a few different ways—most commonly through IV infusions, intramuscular (IM) injections, or sublingual troches (dissolvable tablets placed under the tongue). IV and IM methods tend to create a more intense, immersive experience, often leading to deeper dissociation and stronger psychedelic effects. While this can be powerful, it also makes preparation and integration absolutely essential. Unfortunately, many clinics offering IV or IM treatments don’t provide the kind of personalized support needed to truly process and make sense of the journey.
At our practice, we use troches, which are gently absorbed under the tongue. This method still provides a meaningful and often transformative experience—but with more emotional openness and a greater sense of control. You’re still going deep, but you’re able to stay more connected and aware, which allows for intentional exploration and insight. I often describe it like this: with troches, you have more consent over the journey—you’re not completely disconnected, which means you can choose what to engage with and where to place your focus.
A common misconception is that the more intense the experience, the better the outcome. In truth, it’s not just about how deep you go—it’s about how well the experience is prepared for, supported, and integrated afterward. Ketamine has the ability to take you into a deeply internal and sometimes wordless space. With the right guidance, that space can become a powerful source of healing and clarity.
No matter which method is used—IV, IM, or troches—all can be effective for treating PTSD and complex trauma. But in our experience, real breakthroughs happen when a person feels safe, informed, and truly supported every step of the way. We've worked with many clients who felt ketamine “didn’t work” for them—only to discover that what was missing was the right education, preparation, and integration. Once we helped them navigate their experience differently, everything began to shift.
